I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave
Kia ora! My name is Akos, and I'm a 12-year-old Kiwi boy. I'm super excited to be part of the World's Greatest Shave! Blood cancer is a major issue that affects countless families in New Zealand and around the world. Every day, about eight people in New Zealand are diagnosed with blood cancer. Globally, approximately 1.24 million people are living with this disease, and tragically, it takes the lives of around 3,000 people every day.
That's why I've decided to shave my head! By doing this, I'm raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation, which supports those affected by blood cancer. The foundation provides essential services like accommodation and emotional support for families in need. Plus, the funds will contribute to critical research aimed at finding better treatments and, hopefully, a cure someday.
I want to make a difference, and I need your help! Will you join me in this important cause? Any donation—big or small—will make a real impact. Together, we can help stop blood cancer in its tracks and support those who are fighting it.
