With my shave happening tomorrow, I’ve found myself thinking more deeply about why I’m doing this.
This isn’t just about losing my hair — it’s about what this shave can lead to. The support it creates. The research it funds. The people it helps. People like my family, who had to watch my nan slowly leave this world to an illness we wish didn’t exist — just like so many other conditions that touch far too many lives.
Living with a chronic condition myself, endometriosis, has made this feel even more personal. It makes me wish for more research, more understanding, and more support for conditions that impact almost every human in some way. Illness doesn’t discriminate — and because of that, I believe compassion and support shouldn’t either.
This shave is my small way of standing with others. Of saying we see you, we care, and we’re in this together — even when our experiences look different.
I know that’s exactly what my nan would want. She lived through immense hardship, yet always showed kindness, generosity, and care to those around her — no matter who they were or where they came from.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. Tomorrow, I shave with purpose. 💛

Hope you go past your target
