How to take part

  • Who can take part?

    Anyone – absolutely anyone can participate in the World’s Greatest Shave, including individuals, schools, community groups, clubs, hospitals, pubs, hotels and businesses large and small.

  • Is there an age limit – how old do you have to be?

    There is no age limit to participating. BUT if you are under 18, you must get permission from a parent or guardian and your school before participating. Download the consent form.

  • How do I sign up?

    Sign up online here.

    We’ll ask you for some basic contact information including an email address (it’s the cheapest way for us to contact you). We’ll ask you for a username and password so you can log in to the website and ask people to join you, or sponsor you.

  • Can a team of us take part?

    It’s great in a group!  We encourage you to take part with a team of friends, workmates of club members if you can. Start a team and nominate yourself as the team captain. Team captains can recruit more team members and keep the enthusiasm going in the lead up to the day when everyone shaves or colours their hair.

  • How do I get people to join my team?

    Put posters up, update your facebook page, send SMS messages and phone your friends. Invite people to join your team by email – log in and click “Recruit Team Members”

    As Team Captain we’ll send you everything you need for your event including the official books of receipts you need. Keep a record of who has each receipt book - it’s easier to get them back afterwards.
